Maidu Summit Consortium "Big Time" Logging Jamboree

The Maidu Summit Consortium is hosting The Big Time Logging Jamboree with sponsor Collins Pine on June 1 at Chester Park in Chester from noon to 5:00 pm. “We are expecting a great turnout this year to enjoy the competitions and learn about MSC and the projects we are working on in Plumas County,” says Misty Salem, finance and community engagement coordinator. The event will open with a Maidu song and Prayer. Two additional competitive events will offer cash prizes, and the best logger will receive a grand prize of $1,000. Businesses can enter a Business Axe Throw for some friendly competition for bragging rights. Guests will enjoy a variety of food and craft vendors and a beverage bar hosted by The Almanor Foundation.
